Product Overview

The Scraped Surface Heat Exchanger (A Unit) is a high‑efficiency
cooling module engineered for margarine, shortening and other
high‑viscosity fat‑based products. Adopting proven U.S. and European SSHE
technology, the unit combines a double‑pipe stainless‑steel heat‑exchange
cylinder with floating scraper blades that continuously remove product
film to maximize thermal transfer and ensure uniform crystallization.

Each cylinder operates with its own independent temperature‑control loop and
an automatic hot‑gas by‑pass system that prevents freeze‑up during
power loss. A robust 22 kW geared motor drives the scraper shaft, while an
integrated shaft‑heating circuit guarantees smooth start‑ups and sanitary
operation. All product‑contact parts are food‑grade stainless steel, with
blades available in long‑life PEEK, economical POM, or stainless options.

Designed for easy maintenance, the A Unit employs
Votator‑compatible seals and blades, reducing spare‑part inventory and
minimizing downtime across global processing lines.
